Happiness Coaching: What It Is And What Goals It Sets

Happiness Coaching

Happiness coaching is specific training to teach people to be happy acquiring a repertoire of responses, based on techniques and strategies, aimed at the essential goal of knowing how to manage and increase the levels of well-being, satisfaction and happiness throughout the years in our lives, above any other issue.

Normally it is done simultaneously with psychotherapy, although in cases in which there is practically no psychopathology (that is, there is no discomfort, nor signs or symptoms that indicate that there are psychological problems) only the issue of happiness is worked on.

When people come to us for help, almost from the beginning we have to, in addition to mitigating their symptoms and forms of discomfort, teach them to work to be happy, to know what things are important in happiness and in what proportions, to achieve a good average level of personal happiness.

What is happiness from a coaching point of view?

Happiness is based on the idea of that reinforcements (pleasant experiences) are greater than punishments both in our actions and in our information processing.

That is, what we do leads us to have more income than expenses in the medium and long term due to our responses, but also that we perceive it in our brain, because if not it is as if it did not exist (a fact that usually happens).

What are the bases of happiness training?

These are the main steps and requirements to apply in coaching applied to achieving happiness.

    1. Know where we are and what we want

The key is to have objective and true data on happiness. Normally, much of the content we have about it is wrong, so When we use them believing they are true and we do not feel happy, we collapse and we fall prey to frustration because we don’t know what doesn’t work; Well, it is simply that the data is wrong, and obviously the results cannot be good, since we are going against accurate knowledge.

In this sense, it is important to use all our intelligence as accurately as possible, using Applied Real Intelligence to maximize it. always guided by what must be the main goal in our hierarchy of vital priorities

Intelligence is the ability to discern between main and accessory, and because viruses disturb our intelligence, produced by our genetic, cultural and pathological programs, it is very difficult for us to get it right, staying too often with the secondary, losing the primary, therefore that generally the external results and interpretations tend to be bad, not creating good and new possibilities for happiness.

      2. Stability

We also have to achieve the highest share of happiness on average in our lives in a stable way, without looking at any other consideration or excuse for not prioritizing it, because otherwise, we will always have something to not feel good about and be unhappy with.

      3. Use good attribution strategies

On the other hand, it is basic examine the attribution of the causes we make of what happens to us, in all areas, both positive and negative. That is, being able to really know what causes the different situations we experience.

Thus, if we misinterpret what happens in us and around us, it is impossible to obtain knowledge to generate valid conclusions and make accurate modifications, and we will not create useful rules that serve us.

Always keep in mind the need to promote with motivation and persistence the use of Intelligent Responses (RRII), which are those that lead us to Vitally Profitable Responses (RRRR); always looking at the medium and long term, because if we do not make this calculation with our important behaviors both in thought and action, it will be truly impossible for us to be happy.

      4. Apply Global Intelligence (GI)

This consists of using our real intelligence in all areas of our life; work, relationships, hobbies, rest… without leaving any out, since we have to get a passing score in all of them, just as happens with physical matters: even if our sugar is very good, if our cholesterol is through the roof we will not enjoy good health.

      5. Promote observation and care of our Intelligent Vital Consumption (IVC)

In this way, we will tend to consider how we are spending our time during the days, weeks, months and years. Time passes without us realizing it, and we often forget that it is limited, that what we have spent will not return. Therefore, it is worth questioning learning to do it as best we can and as soon as possible.
