In our society it seems that we always have to perform at our maximum, and even above this, at 150 or 200%. There is no room to be tired, to have a bad day or to need extra help at some point. Sometimes we forget that we are human and that therefore we have limitations that do not allow us to always go at rhythms that are not our own. The problem when we forget this is that we try to act as if we have superpowers that make us invincible and indestructible when we are far from it. We must assume that we have some limitations and work times that are our own and that we cannot always be active, always doing a thousand things.

What happens when you forget this? Well, we continually take our mind to situations in which we do not allow it to empty. Because looking at the stars, meeting friends and sitting down to read a good book is something necessary to be able to release this tension and without these things it is not possible.

The important thing is therefore to have a planning our time that is realistic and that allows us to have good mental health.

Think that work should last 8 hours and that outside of that time your performance is plummeting, so it makes no sense to try to work 10 or 12 hours and expect your performance to be the same. Furthermore, increasing the number of working hours will cause the accumulation of hours of fatigue, causing performance to drop in subsequent days even before that time.

One should not be burdened with things that one cannot accept and manage. If it is not possible, then you have to look for other companies in the company that will take care of it.

Now it’s time to be realistic and start putting this into practice and it probably won’t be easy. Many will say yes, of course, that it is easy to say this and that I may not be able to do it myself, and some days I may not be able to do it but I try to make this always the case, because, although the tendency is to let go and occupy a thousand hours, discipline is important.
