Can we be alone?

The life is a fight! And it is a fight that is not worth facing alone!

Today we find ourselves immersed in an individualistic position and the more we advance in it, the more we realize that independence has its price, which is isolation, suffering and loss of meaning.

Nowadays we have so much freedom that we risk getting lost and finding ourselves alone. And this is one of the reasons for the high rates of depression today.

The love of our family is one of the most important sources of meaning in our lives, but it is not the only one for our emotional balance. In fact, the more integrated we are in a community, the easier it is for us to get rid of anxiety, despair and meaninglessness, since we have the feeling of having a role, a place, that counts for others.

Commitment to the community is very important, because it helps alleviate the feeling of emptiness that accompanies depressive states. Durkheim in his book The suicide states that the people least integrated into their community are the ones who commit suicide the most.

The feeling of being involved in a social group is a remarkable remedy for the mind and body. What provides meaning to our existence are the waves of sensations that flow from emotions, emotional relationships and the feeling of taking our place in a community.
